CSCC Reports 2014: River Lee in Hertford - March 2014

Gavin ably led his first trip for the club on the river Lee in Hertford on 2nd March. He was joined by Sarah, Stewart, Tom and me (Dan). The main features on this river were the weir near the get-in by the Leisure Centre and the trees that were blocking the river. Generally this little river would be suitable for all ability levels, but the faster than normal flow combined with the trees made it more challenging. It was good to get out on the river again after a long lay off during the wettest winter on record.
