CSCC Reports 2007: Stone Slalom - June 2007

Lessons learned from Stone slalom:

1) Getting there early for a practice run leaves you at risk of the
course being changed again before the race itself

2) Stone slalom is still clear leader in the nice cakes field

3) You can get yourself re-instated into division 3 and have a new bib
within a week (just)

4) If you come back after 2 years' absence, don't expect to be very
tight around the gates

5) It is very pleasant to be watching a slalom by a cooling river when
it is a hot sunny day

6) They now have a gear-shop tent at Stone slalom, as well as
second-hand kit for sale. The results should be visible on a trip soon
...
