A few pics from our first three touring trips of 2024 starting with St Patrick’s stream on March 10th. The main body of the Thames was flowing really fast so it was very hard going with a tricky (for me) ferry glide before we reached the stream but we all seem to have enjoyed it!
Next was the Arun on the 20th April beginning at Pulborough and paddling with the tide upstream then back again, also with the tide and a pub stop:

Stopham bridge by the White Hart where we had a break on the return leg:
Cricklade to Lechlade on 19th May was a very pretty start:
But was very slow going due the number of fallen trees blocking or almost blocking the river. Only one portage but lots of very tight gaps like the one behind my shoulder which we had to ‘limbo’ under:
It’s a jungle out there!
It took a couple of hours to get to the Red Lion in Castle Eaton where we had a break but we were only approximately a third of the way!
Much quicker from then on but had to find a spot with a signal to update the parking on the shuttle car! Really quite a long but satisfying day.
